SPREAD COLOR EVERYWHERE!

Say goodbye to the grayscale worlds of old. You have been chosen to serve the mighty Alien Legion as a new color commando.

Spread color to foreign planets and, if you're successful in spreading enough color, you may be rewarded with becoming that planet's new ruler.

It is a high-stakes, risk-reward lifestyle that attracts only the most merciless aliens.

Tips:

  • I highly recommend starting off with the tutorial to get a feel for the game and its mechanics!
  • Prioritize color spreading over killing enemies. Just as long as you stay alive and keep spreading color to new areas you'll do great!
  • Enemies remove color when they move through it so focus on always moving to avoid them erasing your progress.
  • Try to reach the first quota from there on you'll do much better :)

Controls:

  • Mouse - Aim weapon
  • Left Click - Shoot
  • Q - Consume Enemies (Gain Heart after defeating enough enemies)
  • E - Power up (After accumulating enough "near misses")

Enjoyed playing. The tutorial gave me everything I needed to know. I selected the cannon power up, but felt it only kind of benefited doing near misses because the missiles would fire in roughly the same area.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Yes, you're right about the power-up. I will keep adjusting it to ensure it feels optimal in the future!

Really clever design, love the use of near misses as power ups. The tutorial format is phenomenal and is really nice to see in a game jam. It'd be nice if the cannons were of a slightly darker colour to help with the near misses. But again, great game.

Thank you for the feedback! It's a great idea about dimming the weapons. I'll definitely implement it later on!

Really neat ideas to make a bullet heaven tie in more to the level and enemies. Powerful!

Thanks for playing and for the great comment! Glad you enjoyed it!

Wow! That's the most I've seen someone get in enemies and near misses! Thank you for playing! Glad you liked it! I added some tips to help people reach the later rounds!

Very well done and a very challenging game as you progress. The tension and urge to survive is there. Movement is pretty solid, enemies are fun to evade, mechanics are simple and effective, and pretty fun game overall. Would highly recommend, specially if you've got 5-10 minutes of time to spare.

Thank you for your comments and for playing the game! Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice job! Kudos for creating a useful tutorial that's really cool. I have some feedback on accessibility: Maybe you could consider an auto-click option? I find it taxing to hold down a left mouse button because of a disability in my hand.
I also find that the weapon seems to lack some punch to it? It would be interesting to see in what other ways the paint currently on the ground could affect the gameplay, so you're incentivized to juggle both action and painting.

Great job!

Thanks for playing! That's some awesome feedback, especially about the auto-click. Thank you for letting me know and I'll for sure implement it later on.
